Medical Ethics: What's Happening on the Hill? - 8-Feb-2008

Course Objectives Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to: • discuss current legislative initiatives that may impact their practice, patients and profession; • describe arguments on either side of major health care issues currently on Capitol Hill; • respond appropriately to representatives in government and or/organized medicine to ensure their own views are reflected. About the Speaker Sarah Fontenot, BSN, JD received a BSN from the University of Vermont and a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law. She specializes in health law and has been involved in medical/legal issues for over 25 years. Sarah teaches health law to graduate students in the Department of Health Care Administration at Trinity University in San Antonio, and she is a faculty member for the Certificate in Business Administration program jointly offered by Auburn University and Southern Medical Association.
